April Weather

March ushered in a week of hazardous weather. MTEARS and Putnam County ARES were activated several times, and at one point Putnam Country EOC was activated. Several of our members stepped up as spotters, NCS and ANCS for the Putnam County ARES weather nets. Fortunately for us few in our area were directly impacted by the storms that caused significant damage and loss of life outside our area. After the first week we saw some higher than normal temp through the middle of the month with only a few thunderstorms. We could still see dangerous weather, so always keep your radios on and be weather aware.

Being able to communicate threats first hand  is one of the reasons I became involved in Amateur Radio.
