75 Meter Voice Net

Join us for our 75m regional HF net. We use this net to practice our NVIS skills which enable us to communicate regionally without line of site capabilities. This is especially important in the mountainous region of the Upper Cumberland.

NVIS is a radio wave propagation method that bounces high-frequency (HF) signals nearly straight up into the ionosphere so they reflect back down to cover local and regional areas (typically 0 to 400 miles or 0 to 650 km).

If you would like to learn more, fire up your radio and look for us on the following frequencies:

3.810 – primary frequency

3.910 – secondary frequency

3.855 – tertiary frequency
